Suja TeamSuja™, meaning Long Beautiful Life, embodies the promise that flows from the cold-pressured beverages it delivers in each and every bottle. Four diverse San Diegans from different walks of life came together in the most unexpected of circumstances to form what is now the fastest growing cold-pressed beverage company in the U.S.. And, it all began from a shared dream to help people everywhere transform their lives through conscious nutrition.

Early in his life, co-founder Eric Ethans grew his own organic gardens where he discovered that the earth delivers an incredible bounty. He found that juicing was the easiest, most effective way to assimilate earth’s powerful nutrients and provide the body with what it needs to thrive. As a vegan and vegetarian chef, both for restaurants throughout Southern California as well as private clients, Eric was able to hone his craft of creating epic tasting fruit and vegetable combinations that provided the key nutrients he was after.

Co-founder Annie Lawless developed a passion for health and nutrition as a teenager after years of dealing with food sensitivities. She saw her health vastly improve when she began juicing and following a modified organic diet. Annie strengthened her knowledge for health and nutrition with her work as a yoga instructor, where she spent time studying the health benefits of dietary and physical influences on the body and mind.

The two joined forces to create San Diego’s first raw juice home delivery service that offered delicious, nutrient-dense and life-changing liquid to those with specific health needs.

One of those clients being James Brennan, a leading hospitality visionary, award-winning restaurateur and one of San Diego’s most successful entrepreneurs, who soon met Eric. James was instantly hooked and wanted to do more than just enjoy Suja™ – he wanted to help it grow. He knew that Eric’s local skateboard deliveries of organic, non-GMO juice had the potential to escalate into a full-service brand, available to everyone in the U.S., and he knew just who to approach to make this happen.

Enter Jeff Church, a Harvard MBA grad and successful social entrepreneur, known for his role as Founder and CEO of Nika Water™, a social enterprise that donates 100% of its profits to clean water projects and poverty alleviation around the world. Jeff became involved with Suja™ after James approached him with the product, knowing it was revolutionary and was confident that Jeff could take it to the next level. James’ passion and commitment to the brand was contagious and Jeff immediately came on-board, using his extensive skillset to help Suja™ become what it is today.

All of Suja’s juices are certified Organic, Non-GMO & Kosher and are processed using cold pressure (also known as High Pressure Processing or HPP) to kill harmful bacteria while preserving nutrition and taste. With a wide range of cold-presured organic offerings, Suja™ has a juice for every lifestyle.
