Let's get
Sustainable

We love our beautiful mama earth and we're always striving to show her some love! Upcycling and recycling are important to us, and we want to make sure you know how to get all of our packaging into the recycling system correctly. For any other questions you have on recycling, visit How2Recycle®. If you're unsure what your curbside recycling accepts or for local store drop off locations, check https://search.earth911.com

How we're doing our part

Kiss the Ground

Kiss the Ground is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit on a mission to awaken people to the possibilities of regeneration and inspire participation in this movement through media, communications, education, workshops, immersive programming, and advocacy. Our partnership with Kiss the Ground includes an annual monetary gift to the Farmland Program, a program that provides the necessary support and funding farmers need to adapt their management decisions to produce positive ecological, financial, and social outcomes as they transition to regenerative practices. To learn more about Kiss the Ground, check out the Kiss the Ground documentary film or visit kisstheground.com.

Food Finders Logo

Food Finders is a food rescue nonprofit organization serving Southern California with a primary focus on reducing hunger while also reducing food waste. Their food rescue program ensures millions of pounds of wholesome food helps feed people, not landfills. Suja partners with Food Finders to contribute product donations, monetary donations, and volunteer time - all directly impacting our local SoCal community. To learn more about Food Finders, visit foodfinders.org.

Pulp Upcycling

What happens to all of the fruit and vegetable byproduct, also known as “pulp,” after we cold-press our juice? We ensure you it doesn’t go to waste – our pulp is upcycled in a variety of ways! We partner with companies like Pulp Pantry, who turn fresh juice pulp into wholesome pantry staples & snacks - making it convenient and delicious to eat more servings of vegetables and fiber. We also donate our pulp to local farmers to use as fertilizer and/or nutritious cattle feed.

Why Plastic?

All of our products undergo High-Pressure Processing – a process that uses extremely high pressure instead of heat to maintain essential vitamins, nutrients and minerals. However, plastic is one of the few materials durable enough to withstand this process. Because of this, we are actively moving toward using rPET packaging, and some of our products are already in rPET bottles. Due to our process and the packaging that requires, we want to make especially sure you know how to get all of our packaging into the recycling system correctly and know what happens to that packaging once it enters the system!
