Vanilla ChillaPumpkin is one of winter’s nutrition superstars! A one cup serving provides about 25% of the RDA for iron and approximately 1,906 micrograms of Vitamin A. It also has about 15% of the RDA for Vitamin E and 30% of the RDA for fiber. (1) Those stats are so good it sounds like I’m making them up. But I’m not! Pumpkin is pretty darn good for you and this is a healthier way to incorporate it into your diet than demolishing a piece of pumpkin pie. (2) Cinnamon has been shown in a study by the American Diabetes Association to improve glucose and lipids in the blood. In a study published in the European Journal of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, ginger was found to stimulate digestion and soothe the stomach. Maca may promote hormonal and adrenal health while flax seed and hemp seed offer up omega fatty acids and additional fiber and protein.

  • 12 oz Suja Vanilla Cloud
  • 1/4 cup organic canned pumpkin (look for a brand with a BPA free can)
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1T ground flax seed
  • 1T hemp seed
  • 1/2 tsp ginger
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp maca

Throw all ingredients into a blender and whip it good! (3)
