Meatless Monday: So Fresh and So Green

Happy March and Happy St. Patrick’s Day month! I thought I would share a green detox smoothie to get you in the mood for all things green. March is a busy month for everyone, with tons of gatherings with friends and family. This green detox smoothie is a good way to detox and get some healthy greens in if you are feeling a little “sluggish”! I feel like a smoothie isn’t complete without a few handfuls of raw fruits and vegetables. I put tons of greens in every smoothie that I make! In my opinion, it’s a great way to get nutrients and energy into your day without having to sit and eat a whole salad. And since salads for breakfast are no one’s thing, let’s opt for this fresh green smoothie!

Ingredients:
½ green apple, ½ pear, ½ medium sized avocado, 2 cups spinach (1 serving)

1. Cut all of the ingredients and place them into a blender. Blend and serve! This can be topped with turmeric for an extra St. Patrick’s day glow!
