Iced Turmeric Latte Recipe
We’ve been obsessing over Turmeric and it’s numerous health benefits, so we decided it was time to jump on the turmeric milk train! We love it most for it’s powerful anti-inflammatory effect, but if you don’t already know what else makes this ingredient so special, check our our Turmeric Guide!
This golden creation is a blend of spices, milk and just a touch of sweetener. These chai-like spices are gently simmered into the milk to create the most scrumptious, creamy blend. It can be served hot off the stove, or if you’re dying of heat like us over here in SoCal, you can pour it over some ice and cool off!
- 1 1/2 Cup Coconut Milk (or Almond Milk)
- 1/2 tsp Cardamom
- 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
- 1/3 tsp Ground Ginger
- 2 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1 tsp Honey (or your choice of sweetener)
Put a medium sized saucepan on medium-high heat. Whisk together milk, turmeric, cinnamon, ginger and cardamom in saucepan. Increase the heat to high and bring the mixture to a boil. Continue whisking frequently to keep the mixture from scorching the bottom.
When the mixture has reached a boil, lower the heat to low and keep it at a simmer for 3-5 minutes.
Remove from heat and whisk in your choice of sweetener (we chose honey).
Sip it hot right away or cool it in the fridge and pour over ice. Sprinkle a little more cinnamon on top and enjoy!
