A big salad is one of my favorite ways to get my greens in for the day. It allows for so much variety depending on what’s in season and what you’re in the mood for. But if you’ve ever checked out the salad bar at Whole Foods or elsewhere, you know that there are always several choices for your salad base that vary in texture, color and appearance. From romaine and iceberg to spinach and red leaf lettuce, how do you know which leafy greens nutritional benefits are the best?
