Krazy for Kale!
Here at Suja, we’re krazy for kale! It’s the trendiest green out there right now, and for good reason. Also known as borecole, kale is one of the most nutrient dense vegetables on the planet. Kale is available in curly, ornamental, or dinosaur varieties. (1) Did you know that it belongs to the same family as cabbage, collards, broccoli, and Brussels sprouts (called the Brassica family)? There are so many benefits to kale. It is jam packed with the vitamins and minerals necessary to maintain good health, especially Vitamins K, A and C. (2) It’s even been called “the new beef” because of its high iron content! We use kale in four of Suja’s juices: Twelve Essentials, Fiji, Glow and Green Supreme, but we also like to enjoy it in salads, sautéed on its own, and in smoothies. No matter how you consume it, don’t ignore this nutritional powerhouse! (3)
