Annie’s Simple Weekly Workout Routine
1 or 2x/week: Yoga, Stretching, Pilates
Benefits: Strengthens accessory muscles, flexibility, balance, stability
2x/week: – Light Cardio: Walking, Riding a bike, Swimming
Benefits: Keeps vascular system healthy, increases circulation, stability, balance boosts mood
1 or 2x/week: Strength Training – Weight Lifting, Circuit Training, Body Weight Exercises
Benefits: Increase muscle, burn fat, prevent injury in other activities
1x/week: Intense Cardio – Sprints, Spin class, Power Yoga, Running
Benefits: Burn fat and calories, build endurance, increase metabolism
And most importantly, remember to rest!
Very important for recovery and allowing the muscle fibers to rebuild and strengthen.
