5 Ways to Eat More Blueberries

suja juice 5 ways to eat more blueberriesWoohoo- July is National Blueberry Month! I love any excuse to eat more of these little guys; just one cup of blueberries is only 84 calories with 14% of your daily fiber intake, 24% of your daily Vitamin C, and a whopping dose of antioxidants. (1) They're hands down my favorite addition to smoothies, they not only give them the perfect amount of sweetness but they also turn them a gorgeous bluish purple and make me forget about all the greens I threw in! Here are a few of my favorite other ways to sneak blueberries into my diet:

Oatmeal

Just a handful of blueberries can deliver a heavy dose of antioxidants atop your fiber packed bowl. (2)

By The Handful

Eating fresh, organic blueberries by the handful is one of the best ways to enjoy them! They make a great on-the-go snack. (2)

Yogurt

Dairy-free coconut milk yogurt with granola and fresh blueberries is one of my favorite morning meals. It always satisfies me and keeps me full until lunch! (2)

As a Sauce

A simple, homemade blueberry sauce can be the perfect replacement for store bought syrups on top of pancakes or any baked good. This recipe from Empowered Sustenance is pretty awesome. (3)

What's your favorite way to eat this little superfruit?

Cheers,
